Agree with that not the sort of game to bring him back.Fulham are desperate for points plus they know how to leave a boot in.
When we had the old football combination league that was ideal to blood youngsters and players coming back from injury.

Is he running in straight lines yet?

Re: The return of Lanzini.
I'm expecting the worst but hoping for the best on this one. Lanzini has been slow to get back into form following previous injuries and this one has been far worse. It could even be that he'll never quite be the same player again. I certainly hope that's not the case but I don't think it's sensible to have sky-high expectations.

Re: The return of Lanzini.
"getting clattered" shouldn't have too much of an impact on this type of injury unless someone scissor tackles him at the knee.

Coming back fro an ACL is all about the sideways movement of the knee and how fast he will be able to cut and change direction, will be interesting to see how much faith he has in his knee and if he's a bit reluctant to try and put too much stress on it.

Re: The return of Lanzini.
It would be stupid to bring him back to early, it's not like we are in a dog fight at the bottom of the table. If he needs it, give an extra couple of weeks. Look at what happened to Antonio last year, kept rushing him back and then he broke down again,

It was a 4 year contract but with the option of a further 2 years which I am sure we will take up.

Antonio Lanzini Anderson
------------Arnie---------------

All in form would cause most teams problems.

Even better when Yarmo is fit

Will be great to see him again but I am guessing he will start on the bench. I would like to think the lad has some loyalty and would sign up for the long term if he is playing well.

I'm not so sure Stubbo, I mean there are people on here that really know their stuff. Maybe the medical team should be consulting this thread before making any decisions on his come back?

I am a bit worried about this . Watched Fulham a few times and they do not take any prisoners.

Re: The return of Lanzini.
The medical team with the array of scanning and monitoring equipment available should know whether he's totally at full strength or not.

No training will prepare him for getting clattered in a game, and that will be the acid test.

Welcome back Manuel. Let's hope he's properly recovered, plays so to end of season, signs a new contract, and enjoys working with a manager who will clearly appreciate him in a style he will enjoy being a part of.

The injury probably means big clubs will steer clear, and his least risky option will be to extend with us for a couple years on his deal.

Re: The return of Lanzini.
My philosophy regarding returning from injury is if you think you’re ready give it another couple of weeks hard training. Hopefully they’re not bringing him back too soon

My gut feeling is that he's recovered very quickly, too quickly.

Bang on mate
Been saying the same every time his name appears
He is, post injury, gone as a footballer or will be a footballer gone

Re: The return of Lanzini.
He's out of contract in May 2020 so after the Messi praise, call up to Argentina and obvious possibility of a move to Barcelona I'd expect him to come in and put in 100% effort, look like a world beater before becoming our next January transfer window crisis.

Lanzini and Nasri behind Arnie or Hernandez will be brilliant once they gel.
